Technology employment on the iCoast has a storied history. This is the birthplace of the IBM PC and this legacy lives on many of our enterprises. Employment opportunities here often reflect the region’s geographical and cultural proximity to Latin America. Many major corporations have operations in South Florida to address the region’s growing need for telecommunication and Internet services.

The NAP and ASP’s represent significant opportunities for employment growth. Software companies on the iCoast have also developed leading products targeted for health care, security, and e-commerce applications. The smaller size of many of these companies on the iCoast may give them the nimbleness required to thrive in a changed economic context.
